I’ve already mentioned that I loved the Rose Inc Softlight Luminous Hydrating Concealer and here is one brand’s product that I love even more. And it’s the Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum which is just perfect for the no-makeup makeup looks.
Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum claims and ingredients
Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum is a tinted moisturiser that combines skincare with makeup to achieve the most natural sheer coverage that blurs the complexion. While hydrating formula smoothes skin texture, refreshes skin with an instant burst of moisture and visibly plumps the appearance of fine lines.
Ingredients list: Water/Aqua/Eau, Hexyl Laurate, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Octyldodecanol, Squalane, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Jasminum Sambac Leaf Cell Extract, Mangostin, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Alcaligenes Polysaccharides, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Amodimethicone, Carbomer, Magnesium Chloride, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Propylene Carbonate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Glucose, Lysine, Caprylyl Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid
The formula of this tinted serum is rich with hydrating ingredients including hyaluronic acid for adding extra moisture to the skin and plumping complexion, glycerin that helps to hold moisture as well as squalane which is a great moisturizer that makes skin nice and smooth.
Additionally, it uses antioxidant vitamin E to protect against free radicals and Thymulen 4 peptide that is claimed to boost skin regenerating processes and stimulate its immune defences.
And the product is alcohol, fragrance and essential oils free which minimises the risk of increased skin sensitivity
Packaging and texture
The packaging of Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum is made of plastic and looks simple but functional. The two things I love the most about this packaging are:
- airless pump so that it makes serum less sensitive to air. Plus, it allows getting every drop of the products due to its mechanism that pushes serum up without anything left on the sides of the bottle
- it dispenses just the right amount of product so you always get as much serum as you need – for me it’s usually two pumps
A bonus point goes for a transparent bottle which does not hide the gorgeous texture of the tinted serum and allows you to see how much product is left.
And as for the texture, it’s really interesting and unusual. The serum has a watery gel-like formula with tiny microencapsulated pigment that burst when applied with a foundation brush. You may melt it into your skin with your fingers, but I prefer a brush because it gives a more even application.
I’m not sure about the exact reason why Rose Inc have decided to use microcapsules in their product, but usually, microencapsulation is used to protect active ingredients, especially light and air-sensitive.
Coverage, finish and swatches
When you apply Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum on the skin, it may seem that it gives barely any coverage, that’s how undetectable it is. However, in some magical way, it evens out the skin tone creating the effect of a more healthy-looking complexion.
As for the finish, it’s dewy but not too luminous. I would say that the skin with this serum looks like silk with the right amount of “my-skin-but-better” satin glow. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and for me, it’s the perfect finish as it does not add extra shine to the T-zone while creating a subtle glow on the rest of the face which is especially noticeable on the high points of the face like cheekbones.
And the swatches of the product in shade 030. It was not easy to pick a shade online and when I first received it, I thought that this tinted serum was too dark for me. But because of its lightest coverage, the shade suits me perfectly.
And blended with the brush
My impressions
Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum has really become my everyday go-to product this summer because it’s perfect in every way for me.
First, I like how cool and refreshing it feels upon application. Almost, like you splash some chilly water on the skin.
Then, the tinted serum is good at hydrating and making the skin feel plumper. I did not see any blur effect though but I’m ready to forgive it because of how moisturising the product is.
And, finally, I just love-love-love its finish – not only does it look like skin but it also feels like skin. Just like you are not wearing any makeup at all but at the same time have a more even and radiant complexion. I usually apply it with a dense brush (I use Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush for it) then add some concealer on the spots and under the eyes to hide imperfection and put some powder on the T-zone. And that’s all – I do not even need a highlighter because the serum adds some subtle glow where it’s needed. Plus, it’s not creasing and settling into fine lines throughout the day.
By the way, after the Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum dries completely on the skin, you do not even have to set it with powder because it leaves no stickiness so the powder bronzers and blushes go on smoothly, without looking patchy.
Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum is priced at £36.00 for 30ml and is available at:
